The photographs of Philippa Stannard, MFA, have been published and exhibited all over the world. She has recently been awarded Winner in 7th Edition of the Julia Margaret Cameron Award for Women Photographers in the Street Photography and Cityscapes category, and will be exhibiting her work in the Berlin Foto Biennale 2016.  Other awards include Jurors Choice Award at the PH21 Gallery in Budapest, Hungary, and the Photobook Award a the Davis Orton Gallery in Hudson, New York. Publications include f-stop magazine and Feature Shoot, as well as a self-published book La Dolce Vista, in collaboration with Betty Press.

 

Philippa loves experiencing new cultures and traveling off the beaten path. Her journeys include traveling solo in China where she lived with nomads, experienced the open-hearted hospitality of complete strangers and was bitten by a dog that, thankfully, did not have rabies. Philippa is also an accomplished cook and certified sommelier. She teaches photography and ceramics at study abroad institutions in central Italy, including The Umbra Institute, in Perugia, and the Cortona UGA Study Abroad program in Cortona. Philippa is currently studying at the Pro-Civitate Christiana in Assisi to become a certified Art Therapist.

 

Philippa lives in Perugia, Italy with her daughter Lisa, Bella the dog, and Ciccio the cross-eyed cat.
