Simply 2016 is an exhibition highlighting artists’ ability to capture the everyday in an extraordinary way. Artists from around the world are being showcased in this exhibition, juried by David J. Carol. This photography exhibition offers the chance to slow down and appreciate the beauty in simplicity. Artist Pamela Joye captured striking reflected light in a particularly atmospheric manner in Mirror Fountain. Her cheerful, energetic subjects continue with their lives unbeknownst of the beauty in the details of their play. Phillippa Stannard uses composition and perspective to bring the viewer into the shot. Others artists use heavy color saturation to stop the viewer in their tracks such as Andrew Miller’s piece, Park Fountain. Shaking the life into the commonplace, the artists have taken mundane visuals and elevated them to entice and inspire.
